Who We Are
About the Gull Lake Cottagers Association
The Gull Lake Cottagers Association has been representing the interests of the residents of Gull Lake located in Haliburton, Ontario for 93 years. We encourage anyone on our lake that shares the common goals, interests and ideals, to join our association and stay connected to the latest activities and issues that have an impact to your property and Lake.
The Gull Lake Community envisions our Lake to be a place where; The quality of the water, the beauty of the landscape and the tranquility of the surroundings are protected and preserved; Wildlife, fish and plant habitat are safeguarded in a sustainable manner; The community is actively involved in balancing the preservation of the natural lake environment with the recreational uses of the Lake; and The Lake is a shared experience where respect and dignity are shown to others and expected in return.
Our association strives to keep our members informed not only about shoreline and water quality but ongoing issues of the municipality, government actions, official plans, by laws and building codes.
Volunteer Recruitment….GLCA needs you!
The association’s work is diverse, from collecting water quality samples, to producing print and electronic communications, monitoring local politics and recruiting new members. We encourage your participation. The boards of directors meet four times a year. If being on the board would be too time-consuming, please consider volunteering to help out with one of our committee activities. If you’re interested in getting involved or would like to recommend someone, please be in touch with us on our website.
